The family of Anthony Cope (aka Tony), 39 of Halewood, who was injured following a collision in Hale Road, Speke last month (28th February) whilst riding his bike have issued the following statement:
“Tony is the most amazing dad, partner, son, brother and friend. He loves cycling and carp fishing and has always enjoyed being active.
“We are completely devastated by what has happened and ask for privacy at this time.”

Tony remains in a critical condition in hospital.
A 21-year-old man, also from Halewood, who was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and serious injury by dangerous driving, has been released under investigation.
