Detectives investigating a series of armed robberies across Liverpool have charged a man in connection with a recent offence.

46-year-old Mark Mathiassen from Upchurch Close in Toxteth was charged with robbery following an incident on Wednesday 19 June at Great Sefton Filling Station in Sefton Street, Toxteth, in which cash was stolen.
He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody to next appear on Tuesday 23 June at Liverpool Crown Court.
Three other men arrested in connection with recent armed robberies remain on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
