A man has been charged with a series of robberies at shops in Liverpool, and harassment and assault of a woman.
James John Hopkins, 31 years, of no fixed address was arrested and subsequently charged in connection with the robberies.
He was charged with robbery and a racially aggravated public order offence following a robbery at a shop on Cherry Avenue, Walton on 3 December 2018 when a business was robbed of washing detergent
He was also charged with robbery following an incident on 10 February at a shop on City Road, Liverpool when coffee was stolen
He was also charged with assault and breach of a restraining order relating to a woman in Bootle last year.
Hopkins was remanded in custody to appear at Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court today (Wednesday 6 March).
