We arrested two people on suspicion of drugs supply on Sunday (30 June) after a car was stopped in Walton and drugs with an estimated street value of £100,000 recovered.
At around 9.15pm on Sunday (30 June) a white VW Passat car was stop checked on Walton Lane by offciers from the Matrix and Targeted teams.
The vehicle was searched and, with the assistance of a police dog - PD Hugo - four kilos of white powder was seized and taken for testing. The car was also taken for forensic examination.
A 60-year-old man from Walton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
A property in Walton was later searched and a significant quantity of money was recovered alongside large quantities of Class A drugs, suspected to be heroin and crack cocaine.
A 55-year-old woman from Walton was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and money laundering.
Both the man and woman arrested have been taken to police stations to be questioned.
